Science tek 5.10A-The student is expected to compare the structures and functions of different species that help them live and survive such as hooves on prairie animals or webbed feet in aquatic animals.

Gardening TEK-Investigating the different organisms that would make up our gardening ecosystem(How will they interact with one another? Which are producers, consumers?) 

Activity-Students will create a digital art piece displaying the difference they noted between different organisms found within a garden. For example, they can use the physical 3D-printed objects provided to see the animal up close.

Science TEK-5.9(A) Observe the way organisms live and survive in their ecosystems by interacting with the living and nonliving components.

Gardening TEK-Exploring texture in the garden(properties of soils & abilities to support plant growth)

Activity: Students will use a digital art space to make a piece that includes their chosen soil texture while including a living and nonliving organism/item. (ex -  gravel with a worm and a rock)

Whats next?

 My partner and I plan to come in on Thursday Afternoon and plan to 3D print some critters for our activities, such as worms, lizards, bugs, etc.
